The Bendigo YMCA Harriers is once again conducting the "Bendigo Bank Dragon Mile", which is to be held on Easter Monday the 24th of March, 2008. In the past, school participation has been very good, with the winning school receiving a sports equipment voucher to the value of $100 from Bicknell's Sports Store, and the winning team members receiving trophies as explained in the entry forms. The encouragement that competitors receive as they run in front of some 30,000 people is both inspirational and confidence building for young participants. On Monday there will be a half day swimming event. At the start of the lunch break students from year nine and ten are to report to the gym. Year seven students are to report to the bus loop and line up in form groups. Year 8 students are to report to A5/6. A special thanks will go to the following highly dedicated staff members who will be helping with the BBQ: Mark Adams, Sue Bull, Gil Miller, Chris Toose, Sue Pollard, David Jones and Beth MeKerlie. |
