Harmony Day is a day to celebrate a commitment to harmony and mutual respect in a culturally diverse nation. The event’s major objectives are focused on reducing prejudice and to promote respect, fairness and a sense of belonging for everyone including those of different nationalities, cultures, religions and sexuality. The colour used to represent Harmony Day is orange. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange ribbons and join in celebrations at lunch-time.

Weeroona College Bendigo offers a Breakfast Program to all students every Tuesday morning before classes commence (8am onwards), in front of the Performing Arts Building.  We offer a variety of food including toasted sandwiches, juice, hot Milo, fresh fruit and other goodies available on a week by week basis.
The aim of the breakfast program is to assist teenagers to get a good start to the school day by providing them with the opportunity to share a nutritious meal in a supervised environment before school.

Homeless Person’s Week (HPW)
Homeless Persons’ Week is an awareness raising week where anyone can hold an event to raise awareness about homelessness and/or fundraise for a local organisation or service who help people experiencing homelessness. HPW 2014 – Monday 4th – Sunday 10th August

Would you please pass on our gratitude to the Principal, teachers and support staff at Weeroona College. Thanks to their efforts, Mary has transitioned well into high school and has enjoyed the extra-curricular activities, such as basketball and Concert band. She has also achieved well academically and enjoyed her first year at your college.

Happy Parents

The Learning Community structures are an excellent model.

My child’s advisor cares about him holistically and this is important to me.

Overall, we are very happy with Weeroona College Bendigo. The teachers are always approachable and very informative.

We have found the energy and enthusiasm from the office staff, teachers, and principal outstanding. Keep up the magical work and we look forward to the coming years.
