Medication Collection

If your child has medication kept in the general office please remember to collect it before the end of the school year. All medication must be taken home and returned in 2016 on start up day if required.

If your child suffers from Anaphylaxis, it is your responsible to provide the general office with an up to date Epipen. All Learning Communities will carry a spare epipen in the event of an emergency. If your child wishes to carry a second epipen on them (or in their locker or bag) they are more than welcome to do so. We recommend notifying your advisor and learning community leader on start up day.

If your child suffers from Asthma, all communities carry a spare puffer. However, we highly recommend your child has their own puffer and spacer with them, either in their school bag or locker.

If you have any further questions regarding your child’s medication, please feel free to see myself on Start-up Day in 2016.

Sandhurst Cricket Club 2015-16 Registration Day

The Sandhurst Cricket Club 2015/16 season Junior Registration and Family day will be held on Sunday the 2nd August at the Weeroona College Bendigo Oval, Napier Street, Bendigo from 3pm to 5pm. The club is inviting both existing and new players, boys and girls of all abilities in under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 year age groups. The club will run a MILO cricket program for kids from 6 up. We will also field a team in the T20 Blast under 10 competition so there will be opportunities for all ages.

This is a great way for students to receive all the benefits of getting outdoors and playing Cricket in a friendly team environment. We’d also like to see more girls playing this great game. We’ve put together a fun family day with fun cricket focused games, sausage sizzle and chance to win some great prizes that include individual coaching sessions from senior coach Craig Howard and a Solar powered watch courtesy of Ruffell Jewellers.

We will be welcoming players up until the start of the season in October.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data
on School Students with Disability

‘Collection Notice’

Weeroona College Bendigo, along with all other schools in Australia, will participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability this year.

The Data Collection is an annual count of the number of students with disability receiving educational adjustments to support their participation in education on the same basis as students without disability.

All education agencies are now required under the Australian Education Regulation 2013 to provide information on a student’s level of education, disability and level of adjustment to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.* Data will continue to be de-identified prior to its transfer and no student’s identity will be provided to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.

The collection of this information from states and territories will inform future policy and program planning in relation to students with disability.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our principal Leanne Preece on 54432133 or the Victorian Department of Education and Training Data Collection Hotline on (03) 9651 3621. For questions after 7 August 2015, please call the Australian Government Department of Education and Training on 1300 566 046.
